On September 11 2019, the president of the National Association for Gun Rights Dudley Brown delivered over a 1 million petitions to Congress.
Standing alongside the devoted pro-gun Congressman Thomas Massie, Brown sent a strong message to Congress to not kowtow to gun control.
The latest mass shootings have prompted numerous Republican politicians nationwide to consider gun control legislation, which has raised concerns among no-compromise gun rights advocates. As a result, NAGR has taken it upon itself to hold supposedly pro-gun politicians accountable and make sure they don’t fold under anti-gun pressure.
NAGR has been one of the leading pro-gun lobbies in America since they smoked out the Toomey-Manchin compromise of 2013 following the Sandy Hook shooting.
Now, they’re leading the way in providing a no compromise approach to lobbying by making sure that GOP elected officials hold the line on gun rights.
The Senate will be where most of their energy will be focused. The House, which is under Democratic control, is already a lock for the passage of any gun control bill.
Brown noted this in an email to NAGR members where he stated “Speaker Pelosi’s House is going to pass gun control without a hitch, but we can still hold Senators across the country accountable and demand a NO vote on any gun control bill.”
The next few months will be crucial for the defense of gun rights.
Any kind of hesitance on the part of gun owners could open up the doors for an unprecedented gun grab.
